Partnering with Park City ReStore provides local businesses in Summit and Wasatch counties with a unique opportunity to support affordable housing, environmental sustainability, and the economic vitality of the Wasatch Back. This strategic community partnership between ReStore and local retailers, contractors, real estate agents, and entrepreneurs delivers a lasting, meaningful impact that we all benefit from.
We talked with store manager Cody Broadhead about all the ways your business can partner with Habitat’s ReStore – and how your contributions make a difference.
How to Partner with ReStore
- Donate inventory, building materials, or furnishings.
Does your business have any overstock, discontinued items, floor models of appliances and electronics, or gently used office furniture? Do you have any tools, lighting, or building materials? All this and more can be donated to be given new life with another company or person.
When you donate your new or gently used items to ReStore, you keep these usable items and materials out of landfills. In 2024 alone, the Park City ReStore helped keep more than 200 tons of goods out of our local landfills. Customers buying your goods contribute to a circular economy, and the money spent supports Habitat’s local homebuilding and home repair projects.
- Sponsor one of our store programs, trucks, or campaigns.
Contact us to discuss ways to create a sponsorship that works for your business. From donation truck wraps and fuel sponsorships to contributing to seasonal sales events and community drives, there are a variety of opportunities for you to partner with ReStore. We also invite you to support our Deconstruction Program, in which we work with contractors who dismantle and reclaim usable materials from remodeling jobs. Those high-quality items are then offered for sale at ReStore at low prices.
These types of partnerships show your company’s commitment to sustainability and housing accessibility. You’ll benefit from favorable press coverage and an increase in your brand visibility among people who share your values and interest in supporting our local communities.
- Volunteer with coworkers as a team-building activity.
Doing volunteer work isn’t only good for the people you help. It’s good for you, your team members, and your company. A recent study by Ares Management found that volunteering improved “employees’ sense of purpose, well-being, and physical and mental health.”
So host a team day to help out at ReStore with customer service, processing donations, or organizing the sales floor to help shoppers find unique treasures. If your team is skilled in repairing appliances, electronics, or furniture, there are opportunities to help with that as well. You can also volunteer with Habitat doing home repair and homebuilding. However you choose to partner with Habitat & ReStore, you’re sure to notice a boost in team morale.
- Leverage your professional experience in areas including marketing, design, legal, retail, or logistics.
Businesses with skills in various areas are a huge asset to us in training our staff and volunteers, as well as in helping us refine our signage, merchandising, sales, and donation drives. We can also partner on donation drives and awareness campaigns with you.
