When you think of the community impact of Habitat for Humanity, you probably picture volunteers building homes for working families in the community. Or maybe you’ve been part of the fun of our unforgettable Overall Ball or have gotten into the holiday spirit at our Annual Holiday Tree Show.
But that’s not all we do to strengthen our local communities. We work tirelessly year-round on a variety of initiatives – from financial literacy programs to sustainability efforts – that further Habitat’s mission to bring people together to build homes, communities, and hope.

Year-Round Community Impact
Through strategic campaigns and annual fundraising events, we strengthen our community impact to transform lives and neighborhoods. Here are some of our ongoing initiatives:
Home Is the Key
Each April, we celebrate the idea that a safe, decent, and affordable house is the key to a better future for children and adults alike. Through our Home Is the Key campaign, we raise awareness and funds that promote the idea that every child deserves a stable place to grow up, and every adult deserves a decent home they can afford.
Cars for Homes
Our vehicle donation program, Cars for Homes, is an effective way to support local families. When you donate your vehicle, approximately 85% of the gross revenue generated from the sale of these vehicles goes to Habitat. We accept cars, trucks, RVs, vans, SUVs, boats, and motorcycles – whether they are running or not. And towing is free!
Live PC Give PC
This annual, 24-hour day of giving takes place this year on November 7th and supports local nonprofits like ours. Live PC Give PC, hosted by the Park City Community Foundation, raised more than $5.1 million in 2024 from over 7,000 generous donors. The donations we receive support the creation of more opportunities for working families in Summit and Wasatch counties.
Promontory Foundation Grant
We’re grateful to have received a grant from the Promontory Foundation to help us with our Silver Creek Affordable Housing Project. Thank you to the Promontory Club for your generous grant and ongoing support.
