Everything You Need to Know About the 2026 Overall Ball

In Summit and Wasatch counties, housing costs have risen faster than wages, and the gap keeps growing. The people who keep our communities running — teachers, first responders, healthcare workers, and hospitality staff — are being priced out, and that affects all of us.

When working families can’t live in the communities they serve, it results in economic instability, workforce shortages, and a long-term effect on the quality of life of everyone who lives there.

Habitat for Humanity of Summit and Wasatch Counties is dedicated to changing that reality, one family at a time. Every June, the community comes together at our annual Habitat for Humanity Overall Ball gala to support our work building homes for hardworking local families.

Habitat for Humanity Overall Ball 2026

This year’s gala takes place on Saturday, June 20th, at the Montage Deer Valley resort. More than an evening of celebration, it’s a chance for us to focus on one of our more urgent local challenges and have a lot of fun while doing it.

The evening will kick off with a cocktail reception, where you can mix and mingle with others who care about making the Wasatch Back more affordable for the working families who live here. Then comes a sit-down dinner, followed by a silent auction.

Always a crowdpleaser, the auction features fabulous experiences and gifts generously donated by some of Utah’s most amazing organizations, including Tuacahn Center for the Arts, Black Desert Resort, Park Meadows Country Club, Promontory Club, Innovative Custom Jewelry, and Alpine Culinary Adventures, among many others.

Keep an eye out — the silent auction may open online a few days before the event, so you can start bidding early.

Attendees will also enjoy mission-driven storytelling, a live auction, and a Fund-a-Need paddle raise to close out the night. The greatest prize, though, is what this evening means: more homes, more local families whose lives are transformed, and more stability in our communities.

What the Overall Ball Makes Possible

This year's Overall Ball will highlight a local family who has lived in their Habitat home for more than 12 years. Both adults have worked at Deer Valley during that time. Their story reveals the long-term benefits of affordable homeownership for the homeowners, local employers, and the communities that depend on them.

To be eligible for a Habitat home in our homeownership program, prospective homeowners must invest “sweat equity” by completing 200 hours of partnership with Habitat through assisting with building or revitalizing homes, volunteering at the ReStore, and attending mandatory workshops and meetings to learn homeownership skills, financial management, and home maintenance.

Where Your Support Goes

Funds raised at the Overall Ball 2026 will help Habitat complete its Silver Creek Village housing project. Over the past five years, Habitat has built 26 homes, expanding access to affordable housing in one of Utah’s most expensive housing markets.

Construction for the final ten homes began last October, and they’re expected to be finished in September. This project is currently below budget and ahead of schedule. With your help, we’ll be able to get 10 families into a home before winter arrives.

Join Local Leaders in Taking Action

Sponsorship opportunities are still available. By supporting the Overall Ball before, during, and after the event, your organization will demonstrate your commitment to building a stronger and more resilient Utah through directly investing in one of the Wasatch Back’s most pressing challenges.

To learn more about the different sponsorship opportunities, read our 2026 Event Sponsorship Packet and show your commitment to the Wasatch Back by sponsoring this important work.

We are grateful to all of our sponsors, particularly the Montage Deer Valley for hosting our event, and our presenting sponsor, the Park City Board of Realtors, now in their third consecutive year of sponsoring this elegant evening.
